From what I’ve seen the JtHM fandom is split between people who want to be Nny, people who want to fuck Nny, and people who want to fuck Jhonen. And then don’t get me STARTED on the shippers.

Now, for the reasoning. Well. Isn’t this…edgy. I have a feeling that this would be called Pastel Goth, due to the fact that it uses light, pretty shades but OMG IT SAYS SOMETHING EDGY WITH SWEARING. That kind of thing. As you all know by this point, things that can be called Pastel Goth, like this image, typically have nothing to do with the Goth subculture.
